Our Purpose:

• Impacting the Pioneers with a heart for global missions.
• Impacting the communities in which we inhabit with a heart for Christ.
• Every aspect of the camp will relate back to these primary purposes of GP.

To accomplish this, we will use a camp setting to create an atmosphere of fun, fellowship, and learning within the team while at the same time involving them in experiences that allow them hands-on involvement in global missions.

Each day will be filled with:
• Mission activities that will encourage, aid, and bless the locals and the missionaries that work with them.
• Group activities and challenges that will encourage teamwork and fun.
• Worship and teaching as well as personal study and reflection of life as it relates to God's instruction toward global missions.

Activities will include:
• Evangelism in villages
• Construction projects
• Help in Orphanages
• Assisting medical missions teams
• Door-to-door evangelism
• Soccer with the village locals
• Prayer walks
• And much more...

We have developed great relationships in the region and will be assisting the local churches and encouraging them in any way we can.  We are partnering with the Beira Missions Centre as our base camp for the Mozambique projects.  They will assist us in all missions activities as well as providing the long term follow-up and development within the region.  We are also partnering with Every Home for Christ International as they provide wisdom and guidance as GP grows and develops in other regions and countries.  Both of these ministries have been on the frontlines of missions for many years and offer sustainability and a proven track record that makes GP fit perfectly into the incredible ministry each of them is already involved in.

The camp activities each afternoon and evening are focused on fellowship and community among the pioneers with the goal of encouraging deeper commitment to Christ.  We concentrate on activities that promote teamwork and develop confidence in the pioneers.  Games, challenges, study, personal reflection, and teaching will encompass our afternoons and evenings as we seek a greater understanding of how each person has been created: spiritual gifts, personalities, leadership skills, etc.   All of this is with the purpose of deepening their faith and strengthening their belief the calling Christ has put on each life.

Each aspect of the camp has both African and American leaders to ensure that we are sharing input and ideas in every way. In our worship, teaching, games, work, and daily activities we work together to bring about an atmosphere that involves everyone.

An email curriculum is sent out prior to the camp that helps in establishing a foundation as they prepare for the experience. It provides information about the work we will be doing, prepares them for the culture they will participate in, and encourages them toward personal evaluation of their faith.   We also create an open forum within the teams through Facebook to allow the Pioneers to get to know each other.  Once the pioneers return from camp, we continue communication through various internet forms including Facebook and email.  We want to stay in touch as they are the foundation as we continue to grow the ministry and expand our opportunities.

When pioneers have gone through the complete experience of GP, our passion is for them to return to their lives committed to serving Christ as a participant in Global Missions:  serve, pray, support, etc.   Whatever it is they choose in life they will always remain faithful to “making disciples of all nations.”
