ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Passionate About Helping Others
Adventures with teams of 15 - 20 Pioneers for 10 -14 days to Christian
Childrens’ Care Centers in Swaziland.
Challenges in fellowship and learning for the Team as we have hands-on
involvement in global missions.
We strive to build Christlike community and relationships within the team,
while also encouraging each pioneer to discover their individual and unique
passions God has placed on their heart.
We also will spend our days tending to the needs of the locals around us.
We will work with the missionaries there to take part in much physical work
as well as sharing the gospel with the locals.
We seek to impact the lives of everyone involved in Global Pioneers on a
physical, spiritual, and emotional level.
To accomplish this, we will spend 10 days on-site at Child Care Centers in
Swaziland. We will use a camp setting to create an atmosphere of fun,
fellowship, and learning within the team while at the same time involving
them in experiences that allow them hands-on involvement in global
missions. We strive to build Christlike community and relationships within
the team, while also encouraging each pioneer to discover their individual
and unique passions God has placed on their heart. We also will spend our
days tending to the needs of the locals around us. We will work with the
missionaries there to take part in much physical work as well as sharing the
gospel with the locals. We seek to impact the lives of everyone involved in
Global pioneers on a physical, spiritual, and emotional level.
Each Pioneer’s day will be filled with:
• Mission activities that will encourage, aid, and bless the locals as well as
the Pioneers that work with them.
• Group activities, adventures, and challenges that will encourage
teamwork and fun. Only pioneers
• Worship and teaching as well as personal study and reflection of life as it
relates to God's instruction toward impacting Gods kingdom.
Pioneer Activities will include:
• Evangelism in villages
• Construction projects
• Playing with and caring for children
• Soccer and games with the locals
• And much more...
Each day will be filled with mission’s activities working with the orphanage
and the local leaders. We hope to create opportunities to encourage the
students to use their unique gifts as they serve in various capacities.
The Pioneer activities each evening are focused on fellowship and
community among the pioneers with the goal of encouraging deeper
commitment to Christ. We concentrate on activities that promote teamwork
and develop the Pioneers’ confidence in who God created them to be.
Games, challenges, study, personal reflection, and teaching will
encompass our evenings as we seek a greater understanding of how each
person has been created: spiritual gifts, personalities, leadership skills, etc.
All of this is with the purpose of deepening their faith and strengthening
their belief in the calling Christ has put on each life.
Each aspect of the ministry has both African and American leaders to
ensure that we are sharing input and ideas in every way. In our worship,
teaching, games, work, and daily activities we work together to bring about
an atmosphere that involves and respects everyone.
A curriculum is sent out prior to the camp that helps in establishing a
foundation as the Pioneers prepare for the experience. It provides
information about the work we will be doing, prepares them for the culture
they will participate in, and encourages them toward personal evaluation of
their faith. We also create a forum for each team through Facebook to allow
the Pioneers to get to know each other. Once the pioneers return from
camp, we continue communication through various internet forms including
Facebook and email. We want to stay in touch to encourage and reinforce
their growth. They are the foundation as we continue to grow the ministry.
When pioneers have gone through the complete experience of GP, our
passion is for them to return to their lives committed to serving Christ as a
participant in Global Missions: serve, pray, support, share. Whatever it is
they choose in life we hope and pray they will always remain faithful to
“making disciples of all nations.”
